Default What subs will go best with my amp (Rockford 800a2) in a '98 Integra?

i had 2 kenwood tornado subs and i was suprised by them, they hit nice and hard. but i sold those to my friend. i want to upgrade and get some new subs. i have a '98 integra, would 2 10's or 2 12's sound better in my car? i'm probobally going to get a false floor setup eventually, but for now i'll just use a box. the amp i want to use is a 800 watt rockford. i'm not sure what speakers are good because i've only heard a few in person. i was lookin at the Alpine Type-R, the new Kenwood Excelon DB+, and some others. what subs would go best with my amp?i'd appreciate any input you have on this topic. thanks.

Well, what are you looking for? SQ, SPL? Are you competing?

I had 2 12" Rockford Fosgate HX2 DVC's in the back of my teg, and they pound! They ran off of my 800a2. I had them in a sealed box and the sound quality was great and they still had good SPL (143.7 dB).

I just bought one 2002 Kicker 12" L7, and it is even louder on that 800a2. And sounds great too. It's in a 2.5 cubic foot ported box.

The 800a2 is an awesome amp. Match it with awesome subs. I'm not a big fan of Alpine, Pioneer, or Kenwood to be honest.
