upper a arm stripped
well i was driving my car gooin about 15 mph and the bolt for the upper a arm i think thats wat its called fell off.....and so i took it home and found out that where the castle nut bolts on to is completly stripped and that i can put a bolt on there for my life...so my question is do i have to replace my whole a arm or is there another way...thnx ahead of time
maybe so, or if your car is a 90-91, you could replace just the ball joint.. Maybe it would be a good time to put on an SPC ball joint style camber kit if you were thinking of putting a camber kit on some time anyway....
but if you have to replace the upper arm it is pretty easy to do, and they are cheap and plentiful in junkyards

When my castle nut fell off my lower control arm (the haynes manual said you had to get the castle nut just above the cotter pin hole so thats what I did but now I know you gotta tighten that bitch) , the ball joint thread got fucked up... but I just used a tap and die set and it was all gravy.
