Remodeled the helmet that I bought from .RJ at Summit Point Today
I'd like to tell ya but I was knocked out... or at least don't remember anything from right before till I stumbled into the ambulance. One guy said I was just laying in the gravel face down when he passed... I know I ran off on turn 3 when I was still upright (think I panicked or target fixated) and I THINK I had just passed someone between 2 and 3 and might've just been carrying way too much speed... I know I was still woozy too for awhile when I was in the medical shack and someone told me they thought I was dehydrated. It was like 100 F out and I had been drinking a bit... I dunno. Bike isn't too bad, it's all cosmetic damage, mechanically it's fine:

sucks but it could've been worse I guess

that's the way I'm looking at it since I've never been down before... I'll replace the damaged plastics (upper, right lower, and rear) slowly and get a new tank I guess at some point. The exhaust is scraped too... We'll see. I'm gonna get back on but I have a bit to work on getting the gravel out of this thing and mentally being ready to go back out.
I learned something... I let my frustration from earlier in the day (red flag every session but 1 I think) and from dealing with tons of slow riders and then the opposite, cocky riders who'd pass where they shouldn't or be slow in turns and fast in the straight. I felt like the day was going to waste even though I was improving my body position big time. So I'm pretty sure I forced that pass and ate **** cause of it... I needed to use my head, relax, and not let that stuff get to me and follow my own plan.

I meant more along the lines of throttle/brake control, traction, ect where you learn exactly where the limit is, because you crossed it. Don't really need to crash to learn to focus and clear your head! I see where you're coming from though about the slow in the turns/fast in the straights crap... it is pretty frustrating. You're on an RC51, imagine what it's like on a 600.

ah ok I see what you mean. I almost gaurantee I could've leaned it and gone through fine but yeah I panicked and blew it.
and 600's can drag race me down the straight... 750's or 1000's I can only touch by getting a great drive out of the final turn before the straight.

helmet held up great. I was int he gravel so the rest only got dirty and a few scratches. I have a rib that feels bruised, and my right shoulder and arm are bruised nicely... Head is a lil eh still. Tomorrow is gonna suck...
Another RC down this season
sorry to see that happen. If you need a right side fairing, let me know - It crashed mine Memorial day and tore up the left side pretty good.

Face down in the gravel, eh? I hope the photog got some good shots of it! That'd make for a good poster. </TD></TR></TABLE>
yeah... I've come close other times and like I said I could guess lots of diff reasons as to why it happened but I can't tell you the exact thing cause I don't know. That is what's most frustrating to me. I'll look at the pics later, dunno if he was over there at the time.

trackdays in 100-degree heat in full leathers...nice way to get dehydrated quick, too.</TD></TR></TABLE>
Turn 4 is probably worse but turn 3 definitely doesn't have lots of room over there

I just had a guy bring in all fiberglass fairings and a carbon kevlar tank off a rc51 that I believe he said he went down with at summit...got to suck, but at least your alright!
