I would do just leave that car alone for a DD, and get another car thats a manual and go from there. The automatic tranny wont last you very long if you decide the throw a supercharger on it, and i don't think a supercharger is a cheap and easy way also.
When he hinted that he wanted to put in a supercharger, I don't think he wants to spend $1000 for an extra 5-15whp; definately not the biggest bang for buck

My money would be on SEARCH.
It's FREE.
Best bang for your buck.
Other than that - auto to man swap (since '92-'00 civic auto trannies suck ***** hardcore) and turbocharge that *****.

k20 is too much money. H2B or boosted d-series FTW (best bang for buck). I'm going to boost a d16z6, rebuild and build it for 300whp and replace it from my d16y8 that's in my 97 civic ex coupe. Daily Driver!

what about an AT-MT conversion, intake/header/exhaust, and have a custom tranny with shorter gears for faster acceleration. A decent bang for your buck. or spend $3500 on a gsr swap, or around $2800 for an h22 swap.

yes, having a custom transmission built for you will be a decent bang for the buck.
