How do I turn off the check engine light in a 2007 Accord? The gas gap was left off and since has been put on and driven for several days. The light still won't off. Is there away to do it without a computer?

 

You can disconnect the battery...but you'll need your radio code before you do this...you'll also have to reprogram your windows as well after you reconnect it...

If the light does not go off on it's own after a couple of days driving, there is a problem. Is the cap screwed up? The light will just come back on, if the problem is not solved. Go to Autozone, and get them to read the codes stored in the computer.

 

I agree, sounds like a problem if it does not go back off. Give it a couple days and if it still doesn't go off I would take it to your local dealer and let them run a test on it.
