i have personally tried this swap on my 97 civic.. when i slapped on some 17's, the rear stuck out jus enough to rub on my fender well.. so i had to swap the disc out for my regular drums, and it fixed the problem. so jus to be safe, i would pull one from a 94 + integra or 99-00 civic si.. i have swapped out my rears from a 94 integra and it looks ok, but i can't tell b/c i have stock 15's.. jus my 2 cents..
i have a 94 gsr rear brakes in my 97 civic. i know 94-00 acura integra and 99-00 SI are direct bolt-on. i used my stock control arms both upper and lower and used the gsr parking brake cables. i'll soon get a 99-00 Si brake booster, proportioning valve and master cylinder. peace
I have 99 civic hb DX and I purchased the rear rotors, calipers, and control
arms from a wrecked Si for $100. The guy that I got them from told me that
I didn't need the Si proportioning valve or the MC and Booster. All I need to
buy are the brake line hoses and the e-brake cables. I got both of those for
$100 brand new at O'Rielly's. I think later on I will upgrade my MC and Booster
though. Is that all I need to complete this conversion?
