Default JDM D15B into 94 Integra LS - Possible to get BAR certified?

Is it possible to get a JDM D15B in a 94 Integra LS BAR certified? The car was given to me for free. Only downside is it's a "gross polluter" and has no engine or transmission. I do, however, have a complete JDM D15B swap here that I was planning on throwing in the Integra just to have something to drive. Please don't mention how slow it is going to be or anything like that, I'm just trying to get some help making it all legal

I think you may need to swap all the ca model or at least usdm emissions equipment onto the jdm motor to make it legal. I'm not completely certain on what the similar model is but I think it may be a civic vx that had a motor of that kind here.

i'm not 100% familar with BAR certifications...but I would think that you could buy an LS swap for cheaper or at most a lil more than all the certification stuff would cost ya...but i could be wrong

lol we used to joke around about that type of swap before, theoretically it should work... you said you have the d15b swap, use the mounts, linkage and teg engine harness (just wire up the vtak if you want it). if a b16/b18 would mount in a 92-95 eh chassis w/ the stock mounts and linkage then the other way around should work just as easily.

EDIT: Emissions wise, you could run 92-95 civic ex emmissions stuff (shouldn't be any different than the integra ls stuff), that includes purge valve, evap canister, ecu (might wanna run the d15b ecu if you got it tho), etc...

I know in Ca the engine first of all needs to be from the same year or newer than your car. 2nd you must have all emissions of crourse. For example if you are obd2 and you put obd1 or obd0 is a no no but that shouldn't be a problem for you anyways. Oh also it's best to have the engine and all bone stock so that you can get it bard than the decal is yours But seriously it will more likely be more or a pain to do that than to just get a junkyard integra engine/etc.
