Default Which to choose from? Build LS block or buy b20z?

I can't decide what I want to do at this point.
Here are my options:

Keep my current LS block
Buy ITR pistons
ITR/CTR cams
Do full rebuild
Tune w/Hondata

Or

Buy stock b20z
Install ARP rod bolts
Install block girdle
ITR/CTR cams
Tune w/Hondata

Either way, it will be with my p&p Vtec head. If I keep my LS block, and just do a rebuild w/ITR pistons, my compression will be just over 12:1. If I get the b20z, the compression will be about 10.6:1 with my head (milled .020).

Either way, it will cost about the same. Which one would make more power?

Well, i think the 2.0L block will give you more low end tork even with the higher cr ls setup. To me low end is everything, so i'd say the crv setup. The low piston to valve clearance thing scares me tho.

My crv engine is so close now i can almost smell it.

I would LOVE to do that, but unless I buy another block I would have to be without my car for at least a month.

I would go 86mm though if I decided to have the block sleeved!

Golden eagle claims that their sleeves will still seal up to 87mm. My friend just got a block back from them in 86mm and it looks AWSOME!!!!!!

LS block: $350
Sleevs: $750
Bore & Hone: $125
Shipping: $100
Pistons: $550
Rods: $300
Balncing: $125
Bearings: $200
Gskets: $175

And a bunch of other stuff.

It would cost ALOT to turn my LS into a 2.0!

Not with GE sleeves. But your headgasket sealing on the other hand will be touchy. I would not go over 85mm bores on a street engine. Leave the 86mm and larger bores to the race engines.
