Anybody have any links or solid info to give about how much the complete Honda factory Air Conditioning System weighs?? (everything in a working system down to the little A/C button on your HVAC. ) I just want to have a good estimate on how much my car weighs, cuz it didn't come with A/C.

 

When I removed my complete AC from the 88 CRX Si, the total weight was 52#.

 

**** if i were you and there was a way to keep that ****... i would be keeping it... see my 89 never even came with AC so i dont have the electrical or even the core for it... so i wouldnt attempt to keep one.. but place racing makes a conversion to where you can keep AC... gotta love ice cold cars with windows up in the summer... its the greatest!!!

 

its real easy to add ac to a car without. everything plugs in. teh wiring unplugs from the donor car and everything bolts in. not sure how much it wieghs though.

 

Just pulled my complete-everything-AC and it indeed weighs about 50#s. That is the whole deal, compressor, condensor, receiver/dryer, evaporator and case, cables hoses, grommets and even the drive belt and mounting brackets. Yes it is listed in Classifieds too.

I have to second that. I wish my rex had some of that ice cold A/C. all i have is one thats right one window that rolls down.
