what do i have to do!!! to run a 13.2 in the 1/4
i want my gsr to run a 13.2 in the 1/4 in a 92 civic hatch si, yes i know this is the integra forum but you guys know alot about gsr's so i thought that i would ask
your best bet is probably a turbo kit....something with a t3/t40e like a DRAG3..with proper tuning you may even be able to nail a high 12 in that hatch.
You don't have to spend that much, actually.
1. Strip your interior...really stripped!
2. Slicks
3. 120-shot NOS direct port kit. Period.
4. Complementary devices (ignition, fuel, etc.)
That will net you 12s. My friend ran a 12.47 with street tires, no back seat, and the nitrous kit.

you guys want the fastest cheapest route to speed. turbo turbo turbo or NOS NOS NOS. turbo is expensive and NOS is cheap, the real men go all motor. takes time, tuning, and skill. anyone can throw NOS or a turbo on and go fast, but when a NA car takes on a NOSed or turbo car and wastes them its total new respect. have any of u ever read a article on the old F-1 drivers when the honda turbo motors got outlawed and they had to stick with NA. do some research and u will find some articles written by the drivers. good stuff.

what i meant was anyone car slap on a turbo and go fast. most ppl dont know how to tune or take the time. this reminds me of last weekend when a buddy of mine slapped on his turbo and was "tuning" it, needless to say, fried the valves. hmmm....also last week, i get an email with another guy i know with a month old swap with NOS, fried his valves too. my NA setup, no problems whatsoever.
first of all, what time do you normally run right now? And then we can go from there...
And then, strip the hell outta the interior, put some slicks on, and hopefully that will get you to 13.5 (After slapping on some Toda B cams, tune it, and some higher CR pistons)

someone got seriously butt hurt. based on the sig i c on ur name, looks like u have one hell of a car. does everyone have a 10 second honda??? i think not, i was speaking of average boosted car or NOSed car. give it juice or give it boost, 13s are easyily achieved.
NAWZ is for newbies that cant drive good.
oh yea, its WELL, not GOOD. Please respect yourself and dont just shout crap out.
I hate the "all motor" turbo haters.... just cause you do all motor and its alegedly rocket science, that makes turbo simple easy and cheap... kiss my booty.
hondaawta i tinbk u spoke to soon there buddy. it takes more tunning on a turbo motor taht a na motor. u better know ur shiaaat on a turbo motor . hell a na motor is most common. people hate on turbos for 2 main reasons. there dangerous, and they cant afford them. thats the bottom line.

I fail to see how using N2O and driving well enters the picture for drag racing. Obviously N2O is not something you use at AutoX.

turbo is not cheap. it's more bang for ur buck than all motor, but not cheap. And it takes just as much skill tuning turbos as all motor. And i'm not a boosted guy, I prefer all motor...but i also like turbo. If I had the money and knowledge for a complete kit....id go turbo too
I hate the "all motor" turbo haters...
you are gay as **** and totally out of line.
A B18C in a Civic hatch should be knocking on high 13s after some intermediate weight reduction (intermediate being removal of seats, possibly CF hood, etc...). I personally believe that you should be able to net close to a 13.2 with P30, ITR, etc. pistons (something to get around a 11.0:1 C/R), and CTR cams. Some tuning, slicks, some skill, and some patience, and you should get at least close. BTW what is so important about a 13.2 quarter mile anyway?
You need to fully build your motor.... Cams, pistons, camgears, full exhaust, intake, header, etc etc.... or you could just boost...
