Default First 10sec D16 Vitara Setup!!

Well, I went to the track Friday night for the first time on slicks- I picked up some used 24.5 x 8.5 x 13 M&H slicks on lensos. They already had ~25 passes on them before this run. Car + driver weighs about 2300lbs.

Best run- 10.897 @ 132.67mph!!

It's an awesome feeling to finally hit the 10's.
It would've happened months ago if I would've quit screwing around with drag radials and just picked up some slicks!

These runs were on 100 octane unleaded.

There's definitely more left in it with a little suspension work and a decently prepped track. Fresh slicks would help too, but I'm happy with it as is. This was my first time on slicks, so I spent most of the night dialing things in.

Here's some pics and vids, enjoy!

This was my first 10.99 pass, running out of gas in 4th.

Great times man. I too, have watched your posts for long time now. It's great to see someone stick with the same car for so long and see the results from hard work.

I don't think it's driven every day, but certainly sees it's fair share of the road. JFK would have to chime in for that one.

Oh stock sleeves too, but I figured you guys guessed that lol.

Really makes me want to just skip pump gas and go race gas tuning right away.

Thanks guys. 10 seconds has been a long time coming.

These runs were open DP, stock axles.

This is my only car but since we caged it I've been driving it much less, and I'm just going to get something else to daily drive. This car is going to be still street legal/registered/insured, but pretty much just a drag car. It's just too much for the street, and I'm too worried about something happening to it anymore.

running out of gas is kinda scary thats an easy way to pop a motor.

Yup, I've lost one in the past because of that.

Gauge showed 1/4 tank on that pass. I just wasn't paying enough attention to the fuel, too busy dialing in the slick pressure/launch rpm, etc. This was my first time on slicks.
