Default Attention all Honda Gurus!!

this 1997 f3 i just bought has a completely black engine. but every other cbr i've ever seen is just the bare metal. so what gives?? its not painted, this thing is powder coated black. would love to know whats going on, thanks alot

so you think someone just powder coated the engine? i was thinking maybe it wasnt the engine that came off the bike at all....ok guess so

Check the engine # and vin # with the title, you probably should of done both when you bought the bike. Most likely he just painted it because he dropped it.

and where exactly are the engine numbers? and why in the world is the vin on a sticker??? dont they stamp these beasts like the rest of the companies? I'll try and use my roommates camera to get some pics, no plastics on it as of now. the dude did a really crappy primer job over the original job and didnt even clean them first....i have my work cut out for me....
