Default Real 0-60 time?

I am just curious about the real 0-60 time on the 2.0 liter S2000. All the homepages I look at say diferent times. I've tried myself with my car, but it's hard to time and shift gears myself. What i'ved seen so far that most homepages say under 6 seconds atleast.

car and driver lists 5.5 sec, with a 13.7 qt mile. thats the most official source you are going to get for a bone stock ap1

do you own an S?

yes, almost everyone on this forum knows that with a bone stock ap1, 13.7-14.2 is a common qt mile time range. anything over and either you suck at driving...or your s2k is seriously fucked up.

my personal best in my Bone stock ap1 is a 13.8, so i know a 13.7-13.6 is possible with a good launch and driver.

haha.. I think he's talking about PSI on the tires and what they're set at before you guys run.

TBH.. It's not just PSI on the tires that'll get you 13.6, but an awesome tire setup as well.

I knew what he was talking about....but i have no idea how letting air out of your tires will get you a better qt. mile time. Um...I ran 35 PSI in each tire when I ran a 13.8, does that help?

My tires I ran on were Potenzas RE-01R's

its supposed to give you more traction, kind of like how the rock crawling crowd deflates their tires to give them a bigger foot print. Ever hear of a "bead lock" rim. Basically its a rim that ties the tire to the wheel and makes it so you can pretty much run a nearly flat tire without the tire falling off the rim.
Anyways its for more traction. I think its a myth though since you would have a lot more drag after the initial launch. I was running Pirelli P-Zeros on my 240 for a while and those bastards required 55 -60 psi of air and they still gripped awesome.

ur a moron jackass. think about it if u lower your tire pressure it will reduce wheel hop and tire spin. running with 25psi will make your car hook up rather than sit there and spin and wheel hop. i hate you smartass

And that's why you barely broke into the 14's.

I'd rather destroy my clutch than blow my Diff.

coming from someone who can barely comprehend basic english anomalies, and figured out how to pilot an S2K to a "record breaking" 14.98 quarter mile time....

...pretty much means nothing. Well, I ran on the regular 35 psi for my R compounds, and it worked just fine. Plus, I tend to think it is a myth, because even though you would have a better launching, you would be so much slower down the stretch...maybe there is a magic number. can anyone confirm this?

If you knew so much about launching to begin with, dipshit, you wouldn't have the worst S2000 quarter mile time I have ever heard of.

Congrats
