Default esmm install...what a bit^H!!

so today i installed my esmm's and raceheader by myself. Took 4.5 fkn hours. Man those esmm's where a mother fker to get on. The back was easy. The fronts didnt want to go in at the top and if i just tried to push the subframe on and see if they would just pop in the god damn jack i was using to raise the subframe would start lifting the whole car up. I had to trim a little of the insert to get it to pop into the front mount. I dont give a **** what anyone says it NEEDED to be trimmed to fit no questions asked. So an hour and a half of cussing and yelling i finally got it all back together and when i look from the engine bay down i can still see the tops of the front inserts are sticking out maybe 1/8 inch. So now im like fck it they're in and they seem to work good so w/e. The header was a peice of cake. All in all im pretty satisfied. Hell of a lot quicker now.

Mods to date : injen cai, ingalls td, dcrh, esmms

Dont know whats next...maybe kpro then catback but im done modding for awhile. Too damn hot to work on cars!! (110+ degrees)

i feel your pain bro.

esmm's are the worst ever. especially for our k-series native cars.

the subframe design/mount locations freaking baffle me.

when its hard to put them in you need to flip them around and try them on the oposite side.. they have notches to make them fit .. mine fit perfectly and didnt have any hassel at all .

my car was on jackstands. i used the jack to lift the subframe up after i inserted the inserts because lifting it in place would for certain be impossible. I didnt try flipping them around.....sounds like it might have worked though lol. O well they're in thank god.

I have to admit you can feel a great improvement from just having the torque damper.

Their are directions on the internet on how to install them. It took my boyfriend 1 hour following the directions and no cutting needed.

yeah the more i think about it....they probably wouldve fit perfect if i flipped them around but i just grabbed one and from that point on i was dedicated to make it fit in the first side i tried to put it in. Even though i had to butcher it to fit im pretty sure its just as effective as if it was in the other side. Minus the extra 1.5 hours it took messing with it.
