alright i got a y1 cable tranny an a y80 hydro the hydros case is broke
is it easier to get it fixed or switch the bells and use the y1 with hydro bell???..........will it bolt up???????????

Parts will interchange, the Y80 has a hole/mounting assembly for a hydraulic clutch, the Y1 will have its own setup for a cable.
Take the Y1 cable bellhousing and put it on the Y80, this will make it a cable clutch tranny though, and you will need to reshim the mainshaft and differential.

Yes, but you must use the same clutch that the original mainshaft requires, as the 88-93 cable transmissions have a different spline from the 92-01 hydraulic transmissions.
