Default tranny fluid

i want to get some amsoil or royal purple tranny fluid but i donno if i can get it in a regular auto part store. where do you guys buy yours from?

Pep Boys, O'Riely's are a couple. You can always buy it online. I bought mine on EBay.

Just smoother shifts. I haven't noticed any performance gain, nor should you expect to.

OP I know you said amsoil and royal purple, but have you ever thought about gm syncromesh?

yah i actually ended up getting pennzoil syncromesh, ita the same as gm syncromesh. well see how it will work.

Let me just say I have used it in 2 d series honda trannys that were grinding in 2nd and sometimes 3rd. I put it in and never had another grind. Not too mention both of those trannies now have over 200k on them and are still buttery smooth.

I also used it in a VW 1.8t tranny which are known to have to be shifted slow. It was a night and day difference on that as well. I could finally slam gears in it with no weird sounds.

good to hear i just recently put it in my bros d series aswell. he has a 2nd gear grind. well see after a while if it iwll go away
