I have a 95 civic i wanna do something big to it, but can't put my finger down. I know i could prob look this stuff up, but i want your advice. I'm thinking about H22 swap or turbo my single. Thanks a lot ben

depends on your goal and budget.

for the least amount of money a turbo D series will be the most efficient and will blow away any stock H or B series swap. they are also cheap to replace if blown. on the other hand if youre looking for bigger numbers and something with more potential later on than you should consider the swap.

If we make up your decision for you more than likely you'll just end up pissed off or dissappointed.

well you own a honda , so your already there . just check out what your able to do . keep pimp'n

 

go for the sohc/dohc FI (force induction)

 

go for a h2b or Turbo a b18c

 

I have to agree with one of the above posts. It all depends on your budget and what you want in the future for your car. you have several options.

Turbo your stock D (on 6-8 boost you will be right around 180-190hp, and you can keep your power steering, ect. But who needs that anyway)

Swap in a B series motor (b18c1 is most bang for buck, also one of the best platforms for boost)

Swap in a h22 motor (200hp right off the bat is nothing to frown at, but not the best platform to boost from)

My best advice is to go with your gut instinct. Like someone above me said before, make the car yours, not honda-tech's.

stay away from most things that are sold on ebay, especially turbo kits. You will end up with some major problems if you buy one.

some ebay things are good. like things sold directly from a company. a reputable company, otherwise it's most likely crap.

 

turbo is always good, it's also in your budget. but IMO if your gonna swap i would go with a b18. the h22 is a good swap, but the gsr has more potential, but as i said before that's just my opinion
