Civicforums.com Down?
Sorry for the off topic question, but is anyone else having problems within the past day? Everytime I try to go there, I just get a white screen with the "Scavanger Hunt" banner. This is from 3 different computers as well.
Thank,
Ben

No it isn't. You're seeing a script error, if you're using Microsoft Internet Explorer.

Guess I will try firefox. I emailed the webmaster on Friday about it, but have not gotten an email back and the site has not been fixed.
At least I feel better knowing I am not the only one though.

Can't see why, considering it's a better, faster, safer browser than AOL has ever been. Maybe it's just that you're not accustomed to change.

AOL uses Internet Explorer as a web browser embedded within the program, so technically, he's right.
people STILL use AOL?

Actually AOL uses a Netscape browser, if you can remember their company from a long time ago.

i used aol from version 3.0-7.0 and i don't remember AOL using netscape, i know aol purchased netscape at one time but they never embedded it inside their program. unless they did that recently (which i doubt because i know for sure aol explorer is IE), i dont think it ever happened.

When Netscape first started making themselves into a company, they used Microsoft's Internet Explorer to base their browser off of. They then started manipulating it to suit their company better. When being bought out by AOL, AOL then had the rights to use the browser, which was initially Microsoft code.

I know what you're saying, bud. Now, are you referring to the old school AOL, or the more recent one, with AOL Browser 1.5 (or whatever)?

both, i'm googling and no where do i see where AOL had netscape embedded within their application. it's always been IE. i know aol bought netscape and failed, but that's another subject.
