Default Depreciation?

Well it looks like I will have a R1 in a few days, more specifically 50th Anniversary(Yellow Fairings);and no its not the Limited Edition.

$7900
9k miles
Never been dropped, NOT EVEN A SCRATCH!
Tasteful mods;Exhaust,Frame Sliders,Fender Kit, signals..............

How much would the bike be worth in 2 years, with 20k more miles?

It sounds like I'm getting a sweet deal and that even in 2 years it should be worth close to $7000 still. SWEET!

Does that sound Right?

No chance.

If you want to know what an '06 bike is going to sell for in two years, look at what the '04 bikes are selling for now with 20k miles. If you like it, ride it and enjoy it, worry about the resale later.

Shoot, seeing what people are willing to pay for bikes I don't think that is unreasonable, I see it as overpriced myself, but you probably could sell for 6 grand in two years. Bike market to me seems generally overpriced, but since bikes are not like cars it works.
