Firecracker Vs. Car
It just happened right now, still in a bit of shock.
I was driving when I heard a loud boom behind me, turned around and didn't see anything. I then came to a stop light when a car pulled up on the right and said he saw something fly pass him and explode by my rear passenger window. I turn around and see stuff all over my rear window, I didn't bother stopping cause I figure it would come off. When I got home I tried to wipe it off but it wouldn't come off and realized that my glass is permanently damaged!

I'll take some pictures tomorrow since it's too late now. I'm just glad it didn't fall into my front window which was down. That would have destroyed the seats or caused me to crash.
Anyone know the cost to replace the rear right passenger window?

2007 Sedan Rear Door Glass:
Moveable USA Built: $134.42
Fixed USA Built: $74.38
2007 Coupe:
Quarter Glass: $190.83
I don't know what kind of car you have or what year, but that should give you an idea of cost. There would also be labor involved for installing the glass, unless you do it yourself of course.

I've never heard of glass coverage exactly but I know my state farm agent never gave us any issues with any of the glass being damaged. It's considered a saftey risk from what he said so they'd rather change it than raise the risk of you being hit or you hitting someone and having to cover you and someone else should you be at fault.

Depending on the steel wool, it can still scratch the glass. Scrub hard enough and the glass starts to get foggy.

oh? any particular kind I should be looking for?
Insurance hasn't gotten back to me, and a new window will cost 99 bucks online.
Oh, and will mom and pop shops have windows with the same greenish tint that come with OEM glass?
