jl sub broke, please help me out.
first off the sub is a jl audio 12w4.
well i was tryiny to figure out why my sub stopped pushin and when i took it out the box i noticed the that the (metal wires that run from the area on the side where you plug the wires in for the dual voicecoils?? has broke inbetween the little plate and the coil ( i hope im makin sense), on both sides has literally broke in the middle, well my question is is it safe to sauder? them back to together, or use butt connecters? i just want to work again so i have both subs workin again (not for competition).
im going to try and find a webhost so i can post a couple of pics to help me out explaining.
thanks guys and girls

DO NOT USE BUTT CONNECTORS TO FIX THAT. I am very interested to know how those leads just split in the middle....you said it happened on both sides too right??? Anyway, solder the leads back together very well and you should be fine for a while.
DO NOT SOLIDER THAT! It should be under warranty. Take it in to a JL dealer and theY can at least send it back to JL for you. Cool thing about JL is that they usually just send back a new sub.
You may get a way with soldering but you will end up with a stiff point that won't bend when the speaker moves. You will probably hear the wire beating up against the speaker at volume.
I would try to send it to JL they are usually pretty good about warranty issues, they usually send back a remanufactured sub not a new one. Which is basically a new sub minus basket.
