I know 12s dont mean alot this days, but it has been a while since I been trying to achieve this and not spend alot of money. First motor spun a rod bearing, second motor was built better and is holding, 35 passes already.
Setup consist of:
Ls block with 81.50mm 11.5cr wiseco pistons
eagle rods
cometic .045 head gasket
blox stage 2 cams
blox intake manifold
maxbore 65mm throttle body
msd 6a ignition
310cc ingectors
stock gsr head with titanium retainers, rev springs
arp head studs
4-1 jdm type r ebay header (ran out of funds)
b16 tranny

Dynoed at 194hp and 133tq with Crome, on a 1992 hatch weighing 2150 pounds

Car was running 13.3 most of the times but last Saturday at Eglishtown I ran the best of 12.82 and won second prize on bracket 3. What amazes me is that I just made some simple changes from before. Removed the passanger seat and raised the FTL to 7500 from 7000.
I have a nitrous kit, should I shoot it or should I try to see if it has more in it the way it is?

oh yeah I was running 22x9x13 slicks at 12psi on bogart rims, and stock honda 13" rims on the back.

I was thinking a 100shot max. I pretty sure it would put me into the 11s if I dont run to any problems. You guys think is too much of a shot? I am also gonna have to start putting a roll bar together too, but oh well gotta play by the rules.

 

Congrats man. I was thrilled when I made my first 12 second pass all motor.

Depending on what you are using for timing control a 100 shot shouldn't be a problem at all.

 

I have a hondata S300 computer sitting in my room. I am gonna use a dry kit so I am gonna need some injectors. I think 550cc will do. I will have to tune the car again since I was using Crome, even though the new 1.4 version has nitrous outputs I want onboard data logging

12s may not mean a whole lot anymore but it matters to the guys that just break into them. you will always remember when you first broke into the 12s. congrats.
id keep pushing it and not spray it. you dont need a roll cage till 11.49 so wait on that too.

 

i agree. hitting 12s all motor aint nothing nowadays but i remember when i finally hit 12s i was pretty excited. congrats
