Icon7 Project: Red Headed Step Child

Hello All,

Been on the site a long time... I tend to do a lot of lurking and researching. A lot more than the last time I built this car.

Its been a long time coming but I am finally putting together what will be her last power plant. Last motor I had in it was a B18A1. It was N/a. I built the block when I was 18? I think.

B18A1 Block bored .20 over
Wiseco Pistons
Stock/new Rods
Arp rod bolts
Arp head studs
Cometic head gasket
Skunk2 pro intake manifold
BBK throttle body
Ported and Polished stock head
Crower Cams
Crower springs and Ti retainers
MSD ignition
I'm sure the list goes on and on but that's all I can think of at the moment.

LOL. It was a nice change from the D16Z6 that was in it. A lot more torque. Well with the new power plant I am looking to achieve the same thing... A lot of torque. I have been having conversations with TheShodan. He has been steering me in the right directions for a lot of different things.

Well on to the important stuff which will be commencing on Monday!! I am super excited to start this project as the car has been sitting for the last mmmmmm 3-5 years(been so long I can't remember).

This time around:

B18C1 Block
84 or 85mm Darton M.I.D. Sleeves(haven't decided which size I want yet)
Wiseco Pistons(coated)
Stock Ls Crank
K1 LS rods with Arp Bolts
Type R oil pump
ATI Dampener

B18C1 Head(P72)
Crower Springs and Ti retainers
Crower Cams or Stock GSR cams
Everything port matched
Skunk2 pro series intake manifold
Skunk2 Alpha Throttle body
Skunk2 thermal t/b gasket
Thermal Intake manifold gasket

Fuel System:
Deatsch Works 340LPH fuel pump
South Bay 1000cc Fuel Injectors
South Bay Fuel Rail
South Bay FPR

Forced Induction Set-up:
The one and only TR3030R Snail (thank you TheShodan)
Garrett 600Hp I/C
Tial 38mm wastegate
???? BOV
Sheepey Built Mini Ram Manifold
Sheepey Built Down pipe and dump tube

Exhaust System:
Thermal R&D 3" turbo system
No cat(maybe a test pipe)

Ignitioon:
Ngk Plugs
MSD wires
MSD Cap
MSD rotor
Mallory Box
Stock Dist

Ecu:
AEM V2

Tuning will be handled by Pure Tuning out of Toledo, Ohio

Goals:
500HP+ on c16,C110, or 93 for my high boost tune
350-450HP on a softer tune

I'm sure there are plenty of things that I have forgotten but that's all I can think of at this moment and this post is quite long.

The car is going to be getting a complete make-over.... brakes, suspension, etc etc etc.

I will try to keep the post updated at much as possible. I will try to figure out this whole putting pics in the post instead of as attachments also. Feel free to ask questions, add input, and even make suggestions!!!!! It takes a lot to **** me off so don't be afraid to criticize along the way also!!!!!

Thanks for reading!!!!! Talk to y'all soon!!!!!!

Here's a few other pics that I have also(I have millions of pictures of this car). As you can see I spun a rod bearing in the block that's pictured on the stand. This happened at 3am, had to tow it home. Stayed home from work the next day and ended up installing the red block back into the car.
That Block was also bored .20 over with some rock pistons(I think that's what they are).

Small update:

Got my manual steering rack subframe. Gonna clean it up a bit and POR15 that bitch. She"ll look good. Got everything torn outta the car. Gotta redo all my fuel lines and brake lines. Gonna replace the fuel tank at the same time. Slowly but surely it'll all come back together.
