Anyone else get a piece of **** carbon fiber hood from fiber images?
My hood came with imperfections in the carbon fiber, a crease in the center, a nice scratch in the clearcoat, and it fits like ****!

CF hoods manufacturers really do need to expand on their QA testing.

also shipping causes a lot of these defects.

 

usually all CF hoods suck in one was or another except the new Vis I suppose...

 

yeah, mine fits like **** too...The pattern looks nice though

 

I'm willing to bet that most of that did indeed happen during shipping. UPS doesn't exactly treat your packages like mommie's crystal.

 

VIS is definately the way to go if ur getting a CF hood, the clearcoat matches the the car, perfect!!!!!

 

What sucks is that a friend of mine bought he same exact hood, at the same time, from the same place and his is flawless.....im going to try and switch hem sometime...... I would go wth a Spoon or Benen Ind. hood if i decide to get a new one....
