Default got a couple quick release q's..

hey I got a few questions about quick release steering wheels that I don't know too much about..

what does a quick release lock do? is it necessary?
and
how short is the nrg short hub compared to oem? how much longer(if any) is the normal hub adapters compared to oem?

If you have a quick release, when you take the wheel off, the lock will lock up and cover the area where the wheel hooks up to the quick release. This prevents a theif from putting a wheel of their own on your car and stealing it. To me its safer but nescessary...no.

Now for hubs....
A NRG short hub is roughly half shorter than oem. A normal NRG hub would be closest to OEM length. HOWEVER getting a SHORT hub and Quick release will pretty much equal a normal sized hub. Hope it all makes sense to you haha.
