Default 2.0 or larger B owners... intake recommendations

I have a ~13.3:1 86.5x89 engine (in a EG6 Civic) with a nice flat torque curve.
I do beleive the current AEM hybrid CAI intake I use is not the best choice, I am sure there is room for serious improovement...

What do U use guys for a engine sg. like this, what is your experience?

Thanks!
I meant intake pipe and filter, NOT the manifold or TB...
(btw: I currently use a IB ported ITR and tend to switch to Endyn fabrication)

I just fired up my 13+:1 85x87.2 engine. Currently on the J's Racing intake but will be testing the 3" short ram + Bpi Velocity Stack + filter after engine is run in.

possible a 3''+ intake piping with a VS or something of that nature.. j's is garbage..your goin to make more power with a 3'' CAI then u would with that thing.

I use/recommend 3+" custom tube with BPi stack and K&N filter on my 2L.

My buddy did some testing with his motor on the dyno with tube length and turns out - shorter was better!

why not a 3inch cai such as aem itr, and then slap a vs on that, and then cut a whole in the bumper , i have a 96 ek, so thats why i have to cut a whole, but for real, this is what im trying, ive never heard of it being done

i have a 3" SRI that i made out of 3" mandrels and a BPI stack with the K&N filter that goes with it. i will tell ya that the bpi/k&n combo might be a bit large to fit into a fenderwell to maintain the whole CAI thing wich im not a fan of anyway...

why don't you like a cai? hydro lock? my solution to the vs and k&n filter being too big is being the hks filter that has a built in velocity stack, im sure its not as good as bpi's, but will allow you to fit it into the fenderwell, and get ram air action as well

I will get a BPI vs for sure with a K&N filter and play with a shorter CAI...

sounds good man, if you want to run a short ram, you can always run some tubing where the hole goes into the fenderwell and will redirect some colder air by sourcing it from the front of the bumper

i had a generic HKS clone with the built in stack, trust me theres a huge difference between the stack thats built in and a full radiused stack like the BPI.

also i dont really think that CAI's work that great but thats a different debate all together.

CAI will always work before because they improve the density of the air rather then the speed.. if its 180+ under yourhood, and 80 degress outside, your putting roughly 60 degree colder air into your motor therefore your making the air more useable.. with a cai there's a possible increaseof 7.7 percent of power depending on mods..
