So I'm trying to get home ASAP since I gotta go #2 and I'm in 4th revving at approx 5600 and VTEC engages. I keep accelerating and RPMS go to 6200, then CEL turns on and the car jerks and disengages out of 4th gear. WTF is going on?

Have you jumped the ECU to see what code its pulling? That would be the first thing to do and then go from there.

 

so its my vtec pressure valve...should i say "expletive" yet?

 

check your oil, my old engine had a leak problem, and it wasnt low enough to turn on the oil pressure light, but when vtec engaged, it didnt have enough pressure
