I've been running the kit since November. Runs like a champ. I layed down 351whp/ 243wtq @ 7psi.

They have already run 20psi on their shop car and it made 511. Stock internals, no issues.

i was wondering if a stock si would be able to handle the turbo because all I have is the catback exhaust and an intake that ill have to take off when i get the turbo

and to answer everyone's question on how much boost is too much boost on these engines. I read somewhere that the rods could still be reliable on 9lbs of boost. I think they kit they offer is a good setup. ANything more than 9lbs i'm not saying is going to cause instant failure, but i wouldn't recommend it for daily driving.

"8-10 psi is fine for a turbo si. But we recommend 5 psi since that puts you
over 300 wheel hp and doesn't stress the motor too much.

You can place your order via http://www.AJPerformance.com or you can give us
a call at 954-636-7992 or 954-749-5584."

Thanks.

9psi on what size turbo? The one from the kit? That statement is too open.

They've been running 10+ psi for a while now, daily driving. I've seen plenty of K20's with 600+whp on stock internals.

didn't you read the last post? the 8-10psi suggestion was from AJP's website..

You got pics and dyno charts of those 600+whp k20's? You know the ones without any aftermarket upgrades to the motor, just a bolt on turbo kit?? I'd love to see

I thought Cali was like the only state you could not get 93 in. I would like some input on that please.

UT didn't have 93 when i was stationed there....i think, if i remember correctly. maybe they did...i was stationed in cali too long so i forget.

this is a useless post.

also, just to add. it's not the amount of boost that determines how much a motor can take. it's the amount of power. yes, boost determines power but who's to say 10lbs of boost will make the same amount of power on two different cars. it bothers me when people attribute engine failure/longevity to the amount of boost they run.

i live in the East Bay of California. not every pump you can get 93 at. in fact, 20 miles of my house, i can't recall one station that offers 93 octane. i know on the way to tracks such as sac, and infineon, there are 93+ octane places on the way.

socal has some spots for 93 as well....bottom line not every place in cali has 93. usual is 91 octane.

it's ALL about tuning. safe and conservative tunes can allow you to run amazing power on intrenally stock motors.

true story. until we have something better you'll be limited to whatever reflash they have to match boost/power levels.

i just don't like that idea because not everyone can run 93 and the entire united states is not at sea level. elevation plays a significant role in tuning among many other things.

i lived in the mountains of Ut when i had my coupe....moved to cali (lower elevation) and my car ran like ***. I had to re-street tune it.

I didn't realize 93 was hard to find. All I run is 93.
