A/C water leaking into passenger side floor area HELP
newbie here, lots of good info but I couldn't find any solution to my problem:
I have water leaking into the passenger side floorboard of my '04 civic EX. When the car takes a hard left there's a gurgling sound and about a half cup of water pours in. I have figured out that it's an air conditioning situation and not an external leak. mechanic changed the cabin filter last time it was in and I suspect either he worked something loose or perhaps a hose is clogged up and the water is backing up in the system. Anyone know where I should start with this?
Also, I removed the seats to pull ou thte wet carpet and since I unplugged what I imagine are the airbag/seat belt wires under the seats, the airbag indicator light on the control panel has come on. any idea how to reset this or do I need to have something checked out?

I bet the water is just built up condensation on the A/C unit, and is nothing to worry about. If you had a leak in the A/C unit, you wouldn't get any cold air at all.
The SRS system will need a reset, and that's been covered before. You'll be able to find it via a search.

Thanks for the SRS reset info, searched, found and reset.
The AC is a bit of a bigger issue though, as when I figured out what was happening there was about an inch of water under the soaked carpet, so I still need to get that issue sorted out. It's a it more than routine condensation...the water quite literally pours into the car.

That sounds more like you've got a leak from a seal on the exterior of the car. Does it happen mainly during a rainstorm? Or does it matter what type of weather you're having?

we had a lot of rain here so i naturally thought it was due to a windshield replacement leak or sunroof/door seal. then i removed the carpet to dry it out, wet vac'd the standing water so that the floor was completely dry and during a dry spell drove the car for a couple of days (it's my wife's car) and was able to eliminate an exterior leak. it is definitely coming from the air conditioning system. whenever i take a left turn, it gurgles out of the passenger side firewall area and dumps out between a half cup and a full cup of clean water on the floor as though it's coming from a faucet. it only leaks into the passenger side and only when the air conditioning is on. FYI, the AC is operating normally.
update: caved in and called the tech this morning. "common problem, you have a blocked AC hose."
it's a very quick fix apparently. he told me to stop by for 15 minutes or so on monday morning. i love this car. three years old and all i've done is front brakes, tires and oil/trans fluid change. of course there's whatever is causing the trunk to pop open while the car is moving but still, pretty good track record in this case.
