so my friend has a full h23 swap he needs to sell. he told me $600 for the swap but i need a shifter and shifter plate. also mounts and axels.... i wanted to know if this is a good deal and if it is a diffacult swap to do...... thanks!

 

600 is about what any shop would charge you for the labor, so thats about where its gonna be for an H swap. H swaps can be somewhat tricky, fitment always seems to be an issue, but it will work. Friend of mine did it on his EG hatch, and had to cutaway part of the headlight support to let one of the fanbelts sit right.
Also the hood becomes an issue in some cases, the underside of its frame; some of that may or may not need to be modified for it to close correctly.
