Whats the difference between a 99-00 rear lip and a 96-98?

Whats the difference between a 99-00 rear lip and a 96-98?
As the title states, whats the difference? I thought the rear bumper covers were interchangable from 96-00.

96-00 coupe/sedans are the same

While '96-'98 and '99-'00 coupe/sedan rear bumpers are interchangeable, they ARE NOT the same.
The '99-'00 coupe/sedan rear bumper has a bit of a lip at the bottom of the bumper. The '96-'00 hatch rear bumpers are all the same.
'96-'98 coupe/sedan
'99-'00 coupe/sedan
'96-'98 hatch
'99-'00 hatch
So what do you want to know about the lips? They mount slightly differently in order to accomidate the slightly different bumper shapes.
The '99-'00 coupe/sedan rear bumper has a bit of a lip at the bottom of the bumper. The '96-'00 hatch rear bumpers are all the same.
'96-'98 coupe/sedan

Thanks for posting the pics, the difference is nticeable and explains the difference in the rear lips on the coupe/sedan.
