hey guys I'm a new girl to the forum. My friend has an 06 SI and I'm getting my 07 soon...or maybe 08. Anyway is there any evidence out there that proves which gas provider is better? I looked up a thread on 8thCivic and the answers are pretty mixed. I know Chevron, Shell, and 76 all meet the standards of "top tier gas" (http://www.toptiergas.com/retailers.html). But i was just wondering which one will give me the best mileage, performance, and of course keep my engine clean so that it can last as long as a Honda should! Thanks for any helpful information boys!

well i just tried searching cuz this was an old topic with about 3 pages of arguements, but I couldnt find it. I can't remember but people decided on 2 brands being the better choices. one was Shell V-Power and the other I can't remember but I think it was Mobil. This is of course if you are talking about the Si and having to run 91+octane. There was much arguement that it didnt really matter because all gas was made the same and then deturgents are just added to different brands. but I stand by V-Power 100%

Most any top tier gas is the best. A lot of companies share proprietary detergents under different names (ie techron in BP fuel for example). Any top tier gas with detergents will work fine in the car.

And stop being a whiny little brat about your screenname. You can get away with a lot here on honda-tech, so if you can't be a grown up in your username, you should probably just make a Myspace page, make the background black, play some shitty indie song, and write about how no one loves nor understands you.

I completely agree.. I found it funny how she had to mention that she's a 'new girl here'. it's like every woman on the internet complains about how guys are pigs and whatnot, but they ALWAYS have to make their presence as a female known. Just a little something I always find funny

You think that's something, go into appearance cosmetic forum and find a girl.

I'm serious, if I had their car, my thread would be 2 pages long, and half the people would hate it.

But since they have bewbs, their thread is 10 pages long, saying how great it is, asking for pics, saying how they wish she was their gf, etc.
