Starting problems on a "92" Civic Lx
Civic will not start. All dash panel lights come on, it sounds while turning the key that the starter whines, but never hear the "click" that the solenoid kick in. Where is the solenoid located? I haven't been able to find it. Is it in back of the engine block underneath looking from the front of the car?
The starter is located on the trannys topside, under the throttlebody area. It may be masked by the intake tubing, and some coolant lines.

What do you mean you dont hear the solenoid kick in? You can hear the starter do its thing? Is it cranking or turning over?

check your main relay. it makes a clicking noise when it works. When they go bad, the fuel pump doesn't get power = no fuel = no start.
The main relay is located right behind the hood pull lever under the dash. It's a grey box with a 7 or 8 pin connector going to it.
