Simple Exhaust question
Are there any exhaust for Accords out there that do not make the 'ricer' sound? I don't really wanna go that route with my Accord, and was curious if there's an exhuast out there that'll let me get the benefits of an aftermarket one without having the ricer sound.. thanks guys.
If you want your car to have a nice and deep tone you're going to need to get a complete exhaust. You need to get yourself a good header, a high flow cat, and a cat-back exhaust.
Generally this "ricer" sound people talk of comes from installing an aftermarket muffler on stock piping. The stock piping is small and very restrictive. The smaller the pipe the more high pitched (bumble bee) the sound is going to be. The larger the pipe the more bass (deeper tone) there will be.
So these "ricer" people do not even have a real exhaust. They just have an aftermarket muffler, and it's usually a cheap one at that.

Ok, thank you for that information.. do you know of any websites that would have sounds of certain exhausts.. or better yet sounds of brands that you would reccomend ?
I'm used to truck exhausts like flowmaster and magnaflow, not really sure of car exhuast.
