Default steering wheel no longer locks

i drove around on some gravel the other day (not sure if that has anything to do with it or not but there was some rocky terrain i had to go over cuz i couldnt turn back)
and this morning i notice that when the car is turned off the steering wheel doesnt lock anymore. any ideas???

is the key still turned to the on position? lol take it out if it is then it will lock

yes the key is out and it still wont go into lock. i can turn the wheel all the way around left and right with the key out

Your "steering lock" may be broken, its located in the steering column. Get a helms from online or if you already have one, look at it.

if its warranteed still take it in theyll fix it. if not ur gunna need a new steering column

any danger in driving it? drives fine, feels fine, just doesnt lock when the key is taken out

no danger, the lock is only there to prevent thiefs from taking off in your car easier. just another one of those hassles for them
