Default Buddy Club spec IV vs. Skunk2 pro2's cams

anybody have any experience or suggestions in using either of the BC spec IV vs. the S2Pro2 cams on a 12:1cr motor. im debating on which one would be most feasable for track and streetability.

BC4's are o.k., the Skunk Pro 2's are better.

the pro2's are big cams. the idle is really lumpy but the midrange is ridiculous. these cams make great power all over the rpm range. 12:1 should be just about perfect.

havent had any experience with the bc4, but im sure they dont make as much power as the pro2's.

The BCIV is very similar to a S2S2 vtec lobe and the Pro 2 looks to be closely based off the S2S3 but could have completely different ramp angles.

Don?

the stage 2's are very different from the pro2's. the stage 2 is more like the pro1 in its secondary vtec lobe, but the pro1's primary lobe is much larger. that is where the mid range lies.

the pro1's, from what ive heard anyways, make more power than the stage 2's. the pro 2's are beasts.

Pro1 vs. BC4's. https://honda-tech.com/zerothread?id=1135465

I would expect the Pro2's to kill the BC4's in that motor^^^.

BC4's vs. S2S3's(not Pro).

Don't know if any of this makes a difference but.....

Impression I've gotten from Don in conversations is that he's not all that crazy about the Pro3s....he's got another configuration that he likes a lot better (in theory -- i.e. he hasn't tested it, yet....so, he won't comment on it). I'd still like to see what kind of #s he gets out of it.

I've him say a lot of good things about the Pro2s, though.

The Pro3's have made the most power over any cam i have tested, if your head and intake can keep up. Iwant to try another combination of Pro's to see if I can keep cylinder pressure up and get a better curve. I have just not done it yet.

enlighten, retarding the intake cam will make the pressure go up?? i always thought advancing intake cam/ retarding exhaust cam would create overlap, therefore increase cyl pressure.
