not boosting..leaky boost controller?

not boosting..leaky boost controller?
i checked for vacuum leaks couldnt find any..when i start my car i can hear my boost controller leaking tho..what if i just put the vacuum line from the top of the w.g to just the vacuum source will it hurt it? or where do i put it to if im not running a boost controller
