How much is a reconditioned S2K worth?
Guys,
Im forced to sell my S2K due to needing something larger. Unfortunately mines a reconditioned blue title due to the previous owner leaving the top down when it was raining and most of the interior needing replacment. Now the interior is spotless, I even put in new 04+ center console etc. I also had to replace the odometer with one that had more miles! Ahh, so the title says odometer roll back.
Its an 02 model, 51k miles (really about 46k), sebring silver on black and runs perfect! Blue book on this car is northward of 17,5. Im just curious what a good price for mine would be due to the title status. I hope Im not stepping out of Honda-tech's boundries by asking this question.
TIA

I can't offer super-accurate help since Texas cars are pretty much taboo up in Utah, but I can tell you of my own car story.
I just got her about 6 weeks ago, a 2002 suzuka blue-metallic AP1 with 49k on the odometer. Now, she was totalled 4 months ago from being rear ended (received a new drivers rear quarter panel, trunk lid, tail light, and bumper) but restored by a local shop.
The place I went for a loan valued the car at 'low book' which they said was $16,500 with a rebuilt title. I was able to take her home for 14k out the door.
Hopefully that will give you some idea of what kind of price range you're lookin at.

thanks kalm traveler,
thats more the responce I was looking for. Mine suffered flood damage due to the previous owner leaving the top down during a storm.
All the interior was replaced and is perfect condition. I'm asking 15,5 for mine but will accept mid 14's.
Thanks again bud

so far a verbal agreement over the phone has me at 17450 before taxes and the like. I only bring this up because it might be a good reference for pricing yourself

That's cool... alot of banks won't give you a loan for a rebuilt title car, so looking for financing had to be a little bit of a headache.. I was actually looking at a rebuilt title S2000 here that the guy started out asking 15k for but within 30 days he was calling me asking if I'd take it off his hands for 9k. I don't know the exact history of that car though..

a reconditioned title means the vehicle was considered salvage and was restored again to be roadworthy. Therefor being called a reconditioned salvaged title.

That's like when you turn in your S2000 core at AutoZone and they give you a reconditioned one back. It's cheaper than a new one but more than a new one. If you don't turn in your core though, you gotta pay a lot more because of the core charge
