Never heard that before.

I thought it was the V-Twin version. It wasnt used by the top Honda riders but was more of an engineering exercise for the lower level teams

it wouldn't be a NSR then
rs twin

nsr quadruple

Somewhere in the back of my mind I do seem to remember a twin five hundred... but not a NSR

http://www.rbimports.com.au/Sales.html#NSR500

Last bike on the page, read the description.

Plus, note the seller of the originial item, Rockwal Honda, they are slightly involved in racing and know what they have.

The Shell bikes were ridden by the likes of Steve Martin for Team Gresini, as an example.

Heck, just read this thing

NSR500V - not VF.

Note that the second line of that certificate states that the bike is a "Honda NSR500V Grand Prix Bike"

GP Star in Hollywood had one on on eBay a couple of years back.

Yeah the NSR500V was produced for privateer teams so there are a couple of examples to be had if you have the scratch. The V4 NSR's were not sold to satellite teams and as such it'd be pretty much impossible to get one since they're all probably sitting in either the Collection Hall or a Honda secret garage somewhere.

Either way I don't think that bike is quite worth $120k.
