my wife and i are in the market for a another vehicle... we already own an RL1 Odyssey... with two kids... my wife would like to get a jza160 gs300, but i, on the otherhand, am looking at getting an s2000 (ap2) for myself and just saving up some money to get her a brand new car in a few years. just wondering what you s2000 owners would do if you were in my position.... i know most or all of you would just go with s2000 right off the bat since i'm in the s2000 forum... but try to be as biased as possible. i will be making this purchase around september/october.

 

I think you want us to be UNbiased, but either ways.

The car is not a family car, but since you already have the fan, that shouldn't be a problem. I personally am a fan of the JZA100 GS's myself. Tough choice.

yeah... i'm torn between the two... because i know both platforms i would be happy with.. it's just that i want a car for myself that i don't neccessarily have to share with my wife... if the gs was the choice... i'd be looking at a 98-99 or so... just to get it at it's cheapest... and sooner or later just drop a 2jz in it. and then if i got the s2k... i'd be happy because i've been wanting a drop top vehicle for some time now. if i get the s2k now... i'd probably have to buy the new LS(celsior) for my wife in about 2 years.

No but honestly... the wife always comes first, then the toys. Keep her and the family happy and its smooth sailing from there

i got rid of my fiance to get my S, but i'm only 20 and she was cheating so thats a little different....keep the wife and kids

too totally different kinds of cars/platforms etc....
does she know what your plans are if you do get a GS? that will play a big factor with the whole swap plus add on goodies and big boot #'s
