Default paint job

so i talked to my honda dealership today about my paint on my car. i have areas where my paint is "cloudy" and i asked why a new car might have this. they told me to get it professionally detailed and if its still there then bring it back and they would give me a new paint job because paint is covered under warranty. i was wondering...

1. does a paint job do anything to the value of a car? not really concerned too much about this but i was just wondering

2. would they/would you keep the same color or could i change the color of my car?

all of this is assuming that the exterior detail does not get rid of my problem.

Don't think they will repaint it a different color.

I look for detail in paint and can spot repaints. I would do a entire different color except, once again I don't think changing colors is covered under warantee.

If you have ever bought PPG, Dupont, House of Kolors or any quality paint of OEM or better quality, the paint and supplies itself costs 300 or more. If you want your car to look like its been painted by a spray can then go to one of those cheap 300 dollar paint job places.

Yeah there's a great idea, take your brand new car to Macco... You might as well just buy 20 cans of spray paint and do it yourself, it'll look just as good.

I had a friend who took his '83 Prelude to macco for new paint. The first heavy rain we had afterwards washed most of the paint off and rusted the hood. I will NEVER even think of considering macco for my paint needs.
