Is it varying back and forth from the two or is it correcting itself after being at a stop for a bit?

Car wouldnt happen to be tuned or anything would it... or is it just stock. Idle air control valve is supposed to keep your idle from fluctuating like that.

its a LS/VTEC with very minor work done...headers, intake, etc.....

High/varying idle is often a vacuum problem... double check and make sure you dont have a small vacuum leak.

Yeah, it's probably a vacuum leak or other vacuum problem, or your IACV (Idle Air Control Valve) is dirty, there's a post in here showing how to clean it.

You didn't by chance swap the trans at the same time as the lsv, did you? Because I had that problem on my turbo lsv going from auto to manual at the same time, and it was because that needs an iacv swap for the manual trans..
