I have a Momo wheel leftover from my last car, and I can't decide whether to install it in my Integra or leave the stock wheel with the airbag in there. Honestly I'm not too big a fan of airbags, in fact sometimes I think they do more damage than good, especially since i sit relatively close to the wheel when driving.

On a side note, if I pull the airbag and install a Momo wheel, will the SRS light always stay on?

 

Its up to you since it is a safety feature. Heaven forbid I tell you to ditch the airbag and the next day you die in a head on collision. If you choose to ditch the airbag, I think you can pull out the SRS fuse.

I am about to do the same thing with my teg in a week or so.

Me too. Anyway, about the post, do you have good medical insurance? Really. Your insurance company may deny medical coverage if you happen to get injured in an accident.

i would keep the air bags.. I'd rather have them just in case of an accident.. plus won't some insurance companies say your "altering safety equipment" or something? which might affect your coverage.. .

 

Hmmm.. these are all good points. I guess I'll live with the crappy plastic stock steering wheel... my last car didn't have airbags so it was a logical swap. I'm not sure how the laws work here, I've heard some ppl say you just have to let the insurance compnay know, othres say it's a no-no... so who knows.

 

If you wanna change your wheel go with JDM ITR wheel, that will set you back sum bucks.

 

Thats really up to you. Rather be safe or rather have looks? If you choose to ditch the airbag just pull out the fuse behind the gauge at the SRS.
