Was it "re-done" with mandrel bends or crushed bent? If its the later then thats your problem right there! The crush bent corners magnify and reverberate sound through the rest of the exhuast system giving it a tinny/ raspy(ricey) sound! At least thats what the guy at the muffler shop basically said!

Do you have the apexi resonator , that will make the difference.

You don't have a resonator correct? That would be your problem.

I actually have it on my car and it sounds good..... In fact, it just sounds a little meatier then the stock muffler. Even when you rev it up it shouldn't sound like a "pebble inside a coke can"..... BTW, I have a 00 civic si.... Personally, i think something might be wrong with your muffler.

I have the original WS on a b16a w/ the stock exhaust manifold. It sounds slightly louder than stock, unless your @ WOT. Also, it did not come w/ a silencer. Mine's a full catback. I love the sound, much quieter then an N1. I agree with the opinion there's something wrong with the muffler... possible hole? Exhaust leak? Just throwing out guesses.

IMO, it sounds like crap because of your stock crush bent piping.

The flow sucks, until it gets to the axleback, which it has a drastic change in flow, thus making the ricer fart sound.

In my case I went with the full cat-back..... I don't know if that has anything to do with it. Nonetheless, it still shouldn't sould like a pebble in a can. Good Luck.
