Default what compressor to buy?

I am looking into buying an air compressor to use for painting and air tools. I am new to this and not sure what I should be looking at. I have searched and didnt find any help. I need something that can handle painting a car and routine mechanical usage, but I do not have an unlimited budget. TIA

I guess this is what I should look for? Something along these lines should be good to paint and use tools?
