A big one lol. I can't help you out really, but I would also like to know, I may be in the market for one. From what I hear you need on that is able to put out 12-14 cfm. Just keep searching, check out Sam's Club, Home Depot, Lowe's etc...

If you want a quick awnser call around. Google search compressor suppliers. I would think any big *** 2 stage 220v one would do it, but your best bet would be to talk to an expert/ rep.

I bought my compressor for 70 bucks on sale and checker/shucks/krager its a trades pro and its a P O S

11 gallons with 3.5 hp

You wanna know what my trick is

You go and buy a HVLP gun and then you hardly even have to worry about the air pressure and you save hundreds of dollars

You will need a 2 stage compressor if you don't want to drain it. I have a Craftsman 30gal. and when I shot my car with my Satajet 3000RP it wasn't enough.

HLVP guns require 12-15cfm to work properly

I have a 26Gallon 2hp craftsman compressor i can only spray for about 60seconds and the compressor will start pumping with a harbor freight HVLP gun

what do the shops use...thats what im looking for

recommend a 2 stage compressor. it's made for long tasks(spraying, sanding, etc) while a single stage is made for quick bursts(impact wrench and similar).

but i'm only telling you what i've read and what i know. never sprayed cars, just read it on a compressor site.

bigger is better and make sure it's a 2-stage...

Something along the line of 220v, 2 stage, 5.0-6.5hp, 60-80 gallons would be enough for you.

When it comes to a compressor there is not such thing as over kill ,buy the best and the bigest 2 stage 220v you can aford. also make sure your cfm is high at low psi for panting

from all my research this is correct.. Most guns recommend at least 12 cfm and you need a 2 stage and a big tank for long sprays so this would work perfectly. Go to harborfrieghts website and search thru the ones they have. I found most of them cheaper at their local store but they were different brands. You might also want to try Northen Tool and if your $ is right Sears has come great compressors!

I send around 50 - 55 psi to my NR2000's.

I have a 26 gallon craftsman and Im pretty mad at myself or not waiting( a week later there was a 80 gallon husky at home depot for $50 more.) the cfm is 8.4 at 40psi and 6.4 at 90 psi. good thing is it goes up to 150 psi. the husy was I think like 15.8 at 40 and like 9.6 at 90

I didnt really answer your question though haha. but if you got some money I would invest in nothing smaller than 80 gallons. home depot has good deals some times. get a 2 stage for sure. and atleast 6 horsepower. U want atleast 12cfm at 90 psii witht hat size tank to keep spraying
