Default Question About CTR / EK9 SRS Steering Wheel ? Horn Plug?

I am in the process of installing a 99-00 CTR Steering wheel on a 00 Civic and after taking everything off, I noticed that attached to the JDM CTR Steering wheel there is a black and red wire. The Black wire is grounded to the CTR Steering wheel and the RED wire is just kinda hanging there. I plugged in the yellow Air bag plug and now I have one Red wire just hanging there. Does anyone know what this red wire is for or where it attaches to? Apparently there is nowhere to attach it...Any help would be appreciated, thanks in advance.

I wish I could help. I'll search for some stuff.

I know when i put the ap1 steering wheel in my 00 civic, it was direct plug and play.

Are you sure the person you bought it from didn't cut a wire?

Maybe that will help a little. It's for a 5th gen but should be useful none-the-less.

Thanks man. I found a similar one to that on H-T. I "think" I know what's up. I'm not home yet though so I just wanna get off work and get the thing rollin'. I have an idea of what it is... There's this "Brown" wire I saw that had a black plug... The red wire plugs ride into it... I was wondering if possibly that was the right plug for it? Red wire from the JDM CTR Steering wheel to the USDM Si BROWN wire? Hmm...

Bummer no one else knows. It's been almost a year since I did my wheel change. I can't remember well enough to give you accurate info.

SOMEONE has to have a ctr steering wheel.

i put an ek9 wheel into my 99 si, the 99 si's wheel has a plug for the horn, but the ek9 doesn't have a specific plug, i plugged the red free wire into the connector and the horn worked for me.

the horn should be a 10 second fix, you just have to find where the connector for the old horn was and plug the red wire into it.
