Default CEL O2 Sensor

ok so i was driving one night and i've only had my 99 civic si for coming up on a month now and my CEL comes on. i took it to a shop to see what it could have been and i figured it out. its my O2 sensor (before the cat). i ordered a simulator for 30 bucks. they only thing i've been hearing about it is that if something goes wrong with my car, that sensor won't detect it because its a simulator. so here is my debate. should i hook up the simulator OR spend the extra like 100 bucks and get a OEM repl.? if i go with the OEM one, i've been reading that Denso is the way to go, but where can i get one for cheap that will still do a good job?

By your post im not sure if you mean your primary or secondary. Primary is in the engine bay, secondary is in the cat. Primary o2 sensors are considerably less expensive than secondary ones. Eitherway go to sparkplugs.com and pick one up. Don't get any of the 5 wire universal ones because they are crap.

I would only use the simulator for a secondary O2 when running a straight pipe, you can get a primary O2 from sparkplugs.com for about $100

^^ beat me to it get the oem direct replacement
