Which plugs do you use for your GS-R?
I'm looking to change the plugs on my '99 GS-R, and I just realized that the OEM's are laser tiped plugs, costing me a whopping $12.00/ea!!! Does this plug really justify the $$ or is there a better NGK alternative?? Let me know what you guys think cause $50 on a set of plugs hurts!
Yea I know NGK's are good, that's all I use.. what I was asking was, is there another NGK I could use to substitute the laser tiped one which is OEM for the C1.
How many miles are on your GSR? I also have a '99 GSR. The spark plugs in your car are a special-tipped design for longer life. They only need to be replaced every 60,000 miles or every 6 years. Which ever comes first.
I would suggest two brands:
NGK - Part Number: PFR6G-13
Denso - Part Number: PK20PR-L13

The plugs in my GS-R are not original, which is why I want to replace them.. I bougt this car used so the previous owner swapped out the OEM plugs.

copper plugs for a B18C1: NGK BKR6E-11
they run for about $7 for all four. Even if you replace these every 15,000 miles, it'll still be cheaper than replacing the platinums every 60,000. I even used the LS plugs (ZFR5F-11) for a while w/o problems.
