Roof mount dvd player?
Anyone have a roof mount dvd player in thier fit? I want to get one for the kids so i went to Bestbuy and they told me that it could not be installed becouse the A/C and radio are tied together, i have never heard any company doing this before i would think that would cause some major radio noise. I really would like a unit installed for the kids for when hit the road and i really don't want to do it myself.
any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

I am by no means an expert, but I would think that the AC and stereo being tied together would only effect a DVD player that you're trying to connect to the car speakers. If it has its own speaker(s) then it ought not to be an issue (not great sound, but kids don't usually mind). The only difficulty then would be running power to the unit, which shouldn't really be hard if you've done something similar before (I'm sure others could provide input on this).
Furthermore, I think the AC/radio complaint is BS, but as I said before, I'm no expert.
Lastly, if the roof mount isn't a good way to go (although I would think it is given the headroom in the fit), there are plenty of places to put in a standard small DVD player. I would be you would be able to mount one in the rear cup holder, even without screws, ala the armrest by zetaproducts.

The radio and AC are not tied together. They are just too lazy to take the dash apart...it is a pain the first time you try it. My first time took about 2 hours, and I do this professionally.
It can be done and I have been thinking about doing it myself. I just don't have the extra cash right now.
